Role Synopsis The Regional Sales Representative is responsible to develop sales opportunities, identify customer needs and requirements, and participate in the solution design process in collaboration with other EMIT Team Members throughout the sales process. The Regional Sales Representative positions themselves as a resource with accounts for all EMIT products and services in assigned territory, while generating total revenue equal to or in excess of corporate annual goals. This Team Member must demonstrate technical selling skills, product knowledge and an ability to sell at all levels of the organization. The Regional Sales Representative must have the ability to identify customer needs and develop new business through existing and new accounts.


  • Knowledge in the Natural Gas Compression Industry
  • Experience in Environmental Compliance or Emission Products a plus
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas Industry
  • Experience selling in an Industrial Environment
  • Ability to communicate customer activity plans to management and others within the Company through meetings, calls, emails, and CRM documentation
  • Effective communication skills with customers regarding equipment needs and advise them on solutions designed to meet compliance, operational, and cost needs
  • Ability to work independently in assigned region
  • Must possess a strong desire for success

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing technical solutions. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems
  • Develop and demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge that allow you to effectively represent EMIT products and services to potential customers
  • Ability to convey information accurately and effectively either written or verbally to meet the needs of the audience
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50%
  • Possess exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
  • Flexible and proactive problem solver adept at achieving results in a team-oriented and collaborative environment, but also able to function effectively working independently


  • 1-5 Years Proven Sales Experience
  • Associates Degree or Higher Preferred
  • Combination of Experience and Education
  • 1 year Natural Gas Compression Experience
  • 3 years Outside Sales Experience
